We ship by USPS standard ground parcel post and absorb some of the shipping costs our self.  Not all of the shipping costs such as the box or envelope, padding or packing material, and time and labor associated with shipping are covered in what we charge for shipping.

Since what we sell currently is generally low cost, we do not insure shipments nor pay extra for tracking.  See below if you want a tracking number.  Contact us if you also want your order insured.

You will receive a PayPal notification when your order has shipped.  That does not necessarily mean it was shipped that day, it might have been shipped the day before. Sometimes it is the next day before we get all the orders cleared from the queue.

Using a forwarding service? 

Please contact us for the extra charge for a tracking number.  We are not responsible for orders shipped through a forwarding service and will not replace those orders if they do not arrive (often they are just very late).  You will need a tracking number for proof to your forwarding service that it arrived to them and they are responsible if you do not receive it.  In our experience, forwarding services are not very reliable.  It is better to have your order shipped direct.

Shipping Options & Tracking Information -- Domestic (50 U.S. states)

Jacobs Online is not responsible for orders after they are shipped and has no control over the Post Office or other carriers.  Orders are not shipped with a tracking number unless specifically requested and additional postage is paid.  Shipping options are listed below.

First Class Mail:  For small orders (not including spools or non wire orders) We ship by first class mail and pay for the postage.  There is no tracking number and delivery time varies depending on location and distance from Washington state.

Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope: $5.50 -- Estimated delivery 2 days.  You get a tracking number.  Small orders can go this way.

Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box: $5.50 -- Estimated delivery 2 days.  You get a tracking number.  Most larger wire orders can go this way.

Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box: $15.00 -- Estimated delivery 2 days.  You get a tracking number.  Very large wire orders or orders for larger merchandise can usually go this way.

Express Mail -- Usually no advantage and only for small orders.

UPS and FedEx are almost always more expensive. In addition to the shipping charge, there is a $20 minimum order requirement for shipping by UPS or FedEx, and orders shipped by UPS or FedEx will go out THE DAY AFTER the order is received due to their distance from Jacobs Online and the logistics of getting orders to them.  We can also ship using your account number but the above conditions still apply.

Insurance:  A tracking number is not insurance.  It is only special handling in route to get your order faster and so you can track its progress through the delivery system.  You may contact us and request insurance if you want it.

First Class Mail:  For small orders is usually just $2.00 (specify what you are ordering and we can tell you for sure).  There is no tracking number and orders can take many weeks to arrive.  This is the default way orders are shipped unless arrangements are made for another method and extra shipping charges are paid.

Priority Mail Flat Rate Small Box :  $14.00 -- Estimated delivery 6-10 days but often takes much longer -- no guarantee and no tracking number.

Express Mail:  $29.00 -- Estimated delivery 6 days.  You get a tracking number.  This is for a total maximum weight including envelope of 8 oz.

Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Box :  $44.00 -- Estimated delivery 6-10 days.  You get a tracking number.  This is for larger orders over 8 oz total.

DHL is not available.  We cannot ship using DHL because there is no DHL office within 150 miles of my location.

LATE ARRIVING ORDER?

If you think your order is late or lost, you can ask via email and we can tell you when the order was shipped, how the order was shipped, the address shipped to, what was shipped, how much the postage or shipping cost was, and what the carrier's estimated transit time is if they supply that.  As stated above, we have no control over the Post Office or other carriers nor how long they take to deliver.  Unless you paid extra for a shipping method that includes a tracking number, we cannot tell you any more than that.  If you paid extra for a tracking number, you will be notified by email of the tracking number on the day (or day after) it is shipped and you can track your order yourself online through the carrier's Web site. 

We ship everything through the post office unless special arrangements are made and extra shipping charges are paid.  It is extremely rare that the post office loses a piece of mail but if you want a guarantee, send an email and arrange to add  a tracking number and insurance to your order.  Their additional costs will apply.

Special Orders ● International Postage ● Special Shipping

Use the "Add to Cart" buttons below to submit money to jacobs-online.biz when instructed to do so.  You can create any dollar amount by adding multiple amounts, one at a time by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button for that amount.  You can change the quantity of an amount at the cart.  Be sure that you have been in communication with us (email, telephone, or fax) so we know what the additional money is for.  There is no method for attaching a message here.

Please add extra postage on the same order as your merchandise order.

Note: for most small  international orders (under 1 oz total), the additional charge will normally be $2.00 USD for shipping only (no tracking, no fast delivery, no insurance)..
