We ship by USPS standard ground parcel post and absorb some of the shipping costs our self.  Not all of the shipping costs such as the box or envelope, padding or packing material, and time and labor associated with shipping are covered in what we charge for shipping.

Since what we sell currently is generally low cost, we do not insure shipments nor pay extra for tracking.

You will receive a PayPal notification when your order has shipped.  That does not necessarily mean it was shipped that day, it might have been shipped the day before. Sometimes it is the next day before we get all the orders cleared from the queue.

Using a forwarding service? 

Please contact us for the extra charge for a tracking number.  We are not responsible for orders shipped through a forwarding service and will not replace those orders if they do not arrive (often they are just very late).  You will need a tracking number for proof to your forwarding service that it arrived to them and they are responsible if you do not receive it.  In our experience, forwarding services are not very reliable.  It is better to have your order shipped direct.

TRACKING NUMBER -- Domestic (50 U.S. states)

I am not responsible for the late arrival of orders or orders not received.  Orders are not shipped with a tracking number unless specifically requested and additional postage is paid.  I only guarantee that I have shipped.  See "Late arriving orders below."

Insurance:  A tracking number is not insurance.  It is only special handling in route to get your order faster.  Even with a tracking number, if your order is lost and there is no insurance, you will not get your money back.  You must also buy insurance if you want your money back if your order is lost by the post office.  You must contact me and specifically request insurance and pay the extra amount for it if you want it.

First Class Mail:  For small orders (not including spools or non wire orders) I ship by first class mail and pay for the postage.  There is no tracking number and delivery time varies depending on location and distance from Washington state.  Orders used to arrive in 1 to 4 days but now I have had reports of it taking two weeks to get across the country.

Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope: $5.50 -- Estimated delivery 2 days.  You get a tracking number.  Small orders can go this way.

Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box: $5.50 -- Estimated delivery 2 days.  You get a tracking number.  Most larger wire orders can go this way.

Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box: $15.00 -- Estimated delivery 2 days.  You get a tracking number.  Very large wire orders or orders for larger merchandise can usually go this way.

Express Mail -- Usually no advantage and only for small orders.

UPS and FedEx are usually more expensive and are extra trouble for me to ship this way.  I may charge up to $15.00 extra handling surcharge for these carriers AND they will be shipped the business day after the order is received, not the same day.  I can also ship using your account number but the above conditions still apply.

TRACKING NUMBER -- International (all amounts are in US dollars)

First Class Mail:  For small orders is usually just $2.00 (specify what you are ordering and I can tell you for sure).  There is no tracking number and orders can take many weeks to arrive.

Priority Mail Flat Rate Small Box :  $14.00 -- Estimated delivery 6-10 days but often takes much longer -- no guarantee and no tracking number.

Express Mail:  $29.00 -- Estimated delivery 6 days.  You get a tracking number.  This is for a total maximum weight including envelope of 8 oz.

Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Box :  $44.00 -- Estimated delivery 6-10 days.  You get a tracking number.  This is for larger orders over 8 oz total.

UPS and FedEx are usually more expensive and are extra trouble for me to ship this way.  I may charge up to $15.00 extra handling surcharge for these carriers AND they will be shipped the business day after the order is received, not the same day.  I can also ship using your account number but the above conditions still apply.

DHL is not available.  I cannot ship using DHL because there is no DHL office within 150 miles of my location.

LATE ARRIVING ORDER?

If you think your order is late or lost, you can ask via email and I can tell you when the order was shipped (I also have the address I shipped to, what was shipped, and how much postage I put on the order), unless you paid extra shipping charges that include a tracking number.  If you paid extra for a tracking number, you will be notified by email of the tracking number on the day (or day after) it is shipped.  I ship everything through the post office unless special arrangements are made and extra shipping charges are paid.  We are both gambling that all the hands that handle the mail do their job correctly all along the way.  I guarantee I shipped your order and if I find I missed an order (only happened once so far out of 1000's of orders), then I will get your order in the mail as soon as the mistake is found.  Orders are now taking longer than they used to and on occasion, a lot longer than they used to to arrive.  I don't control the post office.  It is extremely rare that the post office loses a piece of mail but if you want a guarantee, email me and you can arrange to add  a tracking number and insurance to your order if you want to pay the extra charges the post office imposes.  I am not responsible for the post office losing an order.

Special Orders ● International Postage ● Special Shipping

Use the "Add to Cart" buttons below to submit money to jacobs-online.biz when instructed to do so.  You can create any dollar amount by adding multiple amounts, one at a time by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button for that amount.  You can change the quantity of an amount at the cart.  Be sure that you have been in communication with us (email, telephone, or fax) so we know what the additional money is for.  There is no method for attaching a message here.

Please add extra postage on the same order as your merchandise order.

Note: for most small  international orders (under 1 oz total), the additional charge will normally be $2.00 USD for shipping only (no tracking, no fast delivery, no insurance)..
